# Governance ### Overview Snakeskin aka $SKIN is used for participation and governance in our DAO where you dictate the direction of the project. This includes voting on the details for the [Weekly Golden Egg Hunt](/sassysnakes/utility/weekly-golden-egg-hunt.md) and more importantly how you, the community, want our project to progress after Phase 1.
